Game developer and content aggregator 1X2 Network has appointed Gordon Lötter as chief technology officer, as the group bids to “continue to push boundaries and innovate”.
In the position, Lötter will manage the technology teams, as well as gain responsibility for driving this side of the company across its 1X2gaming and Iron Dog Studio subsidiaries, aiming to ensure that it “continues to innovate and that technical implementations align with other parts of the business”.
“It is a great honour to join 1X2 Network as CTO and to be given the opportunity to help grow the business through technology,” Lötter said of joining the company.
“I am also looking forward to working with the incredible people across the business and to motivate and inspire them to do what they do best; develop some of the most entertaining games in the market.
“Of course, this is all underpinned by technology, and I am excited by the opportunity to use my knowledge and experience to help 1X2 Network continue to grow at pace.”
Over his 16-year career Lötter has specialised in Java development, and most recently held management-focused roles and oversaw various technology teams. He has worked in tech roles at a number of companies across the industry, such as Playtech, Evolution and Extreme Live Gaming.
Kevin Reid, chief commercial officer at 1X2 Network, said of the appointment: “I am delighted to welcome Gordon to the team and for us to be able to leverage his incredible expertise and experience.
“Technology is the foundation of our business and Gordon will ensure that we continue to push boundaries and innovate when it comes to tech.
“He joins at a time when 1X2 Network and our 1X2gaming and Iron Dog Studio subsidiaries are enjoying rapid growth so there is a great deal for him to do.”
